If you are new to Pilates then this is the place to start. We work on building foundational movements on both the reformer and exo chair while mastering the Pilates fundamentals.
In this class you will continue to practice your reformer flow movements as well as incorporating the jump board. A low impact workout that is meant to elevate your heart rate.
This energetic class utilizes full body functional movement to build strength and endurance using weights, a variety of props, and the apparatuses. 10 minutes of warm up followed by 30 minutes of short maximum effort work alternated with short active recovery periods. Finishing with 10 minutes of cool down and stretching.
Stretching keeps the muscles flexible, strong, and healthy. Regular stretching may improve your circulation, decrease back pain, help prevent injury, and decrease muscle soreness. This class can help reduce stress and tension.
Based on the original work of Joseph Pilates, this class will focus on correct breath, core engagement, proper starting position, pelvic & shoulder stability, and head & spine alignment. Classes will be taught using slow, controlled movements.
